nillamaryParticipantI would like to duplicate the Ethos 2 effect similar to the Demo but a little different. I’ve scoured the Forum and Knowledge Base and can’t find answers to my questions:
1. How do I add a static 1500×750 image just beneath my Fixed Top Header (Nav bar)?
2. How do I add a Title and paragraph text to this same page?
3. I will add a World map as the next image, how do I do this?
4. I would also like to add my 3-column portfolio/gallery of images of different countries. How do I do this? Many thanks!

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in!
#1. You can create a simple slider and assign below masthead for the pages you want to show the banner. You can also create a section and use the image or as background image. It shouldn’t be difficult. Let us know where you are facing issue.
#2. You can use Custom Headline and Text Element.
#3. You can use Map Element.
#4. You can use countries as portfolio items.
As you are struggling with the basic things, I’d suggest you to explore our Knowledge Base before getting started. It will be lot easier for you.
Cheers!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating in! Sorry if you feel that the response your getting is not enough.
1] To add a static image below your navbar, you can edit your homepage and edit it in Cornerstone. In your first section, please add a row with one column only. In the row settings, please disable the column container to make sure that the image in the column will be fullwidth. You can use the image element in Cornerstone so that you will have 1500×750 image.
If you want the static image to be display in all pages within your site, please check this thread: https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/image-above-header-2/#post-1254119
2] You can add another section in your page and still have a one column row. You can insert custom element and a text element for your contents.
For #3 and #4 you can roughly follow the steps given in our previous reply. And if you want, I have attached a Cornerstone template which you can use to import in your page with the format you have laid out.
To know more about how you can use Cornerstone, please check it here: https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-introduction/, https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-how-to-get-to-the-editor/, https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-interface-introduction/, https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-interface-layout/, https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-interface-elements/
Hope this helps.

nillamaryParticipantThanks, I’ve read the Cornerstone info in the Knowledge Base.
Is it better to build my site using Cornerstone or the WP Editor? I’ve read on your Forum many issues with Cornerstone eg added unnecessary code, etc.
I’ve created my Pages using the WP Editor. If I change to Cornerstone, then this work is lost isn’t it?

nillamaryParticipantThanks for the update Rue!
I will stick with WP Editor as from what I’ve read on your Forum/Knowledge Base, I can still do complex things with this editor without having to switch to Cornerstone. Thanks for the text page, I’ll see how I go.January 12, 2017 at 2:17 pm #1327672
