nillamaryParticipantI was editing in my Customizer and saving my changes when a “Cheating” message displayed (screenshot attached). Also, back at the Customiser, another “Not allowed to view drafts” message displays (screenshot attached). This is very disconcerting as I couldn’t access my Dashboard. I had to log out and log back in.
Can you please advise what these messages are about?
Thank you

Thanks for writing in! This error message is a WordPress default notifications which occur if you have been idle for a while and as soon as you refresh the page this notifications will appear. This error message relates to permissions. Is the account you’re using an Administrator account? If you are already working an administrator account and the problem persists. Please, create a temporary administrator account so we can take a look.
Please let us know how it goes.

nillamaryParticipantHi Rue, yes, this is my Administrator account and I wasn’t idle, as I mentioned in my 1st entry, I was actually editing my CSS and tried to save my changes when these errors displayed.
That’s weird as I have another WordPress.com account, which I’ve been using for 2 years and I’ve never seen this message.
Could the fact that many X theme support guys are logging into my WP account from different machines and/or countries? Just a thought.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
That may have been the case. WordPress could may also used cookies and that there were conflicting data regarding the user which probably two person is using the same username. I would like to suggest that you clear your browser cache or use Chrome’s incognito mode and test your site again.
Please let us know how it goes.

nillamaryParticipantThanks.
I was wondering whether giving my log in details to many support people would be an issue.
I’ve done what you suggested above and haven’t seen the message…yet.January 25, 2017 at 1:47 pm #1345149
