    Hello. When I install a demo Theme should I expect to see my website looking like the example you give on your web page, with slider, Carousel some picture etc?
    I’ve just installed the demo content Etho 1 and my website looks like this

    Is this correct?

    Hi Phillip,

    Thanks for writing in! I have checked the site and it turns out that the post slider, post carousel and even the blog index is not displaying anything. Please do check the customizer settings, Appearance > Customize > Ethos > Blog Options particularly the Filterable Index section. Enabling the filterable index will bypass the standard output of your blog page, allowing you to specify categories to highlight. Upon selecting this option, a text input will appear to enter in the IDs of the categories you would like to showcase. This input accepts a list of numeric IDs separated by a comma (e.g. 14, 1, 817).

    If there are category IDs specified in that section, please remove it because it might not pointing to the correct categories.

    Please let us know how it goes.

    Thank you. I did that and these numbers were there. 100, 54, 101, 91, 134
    I removed them and turned the Filterable Index off. That has brought up the blog index I think but not Slider or Carousel. If I recall, I had problems installing this theme and, following what I thought I read on this forum, just upload the x-zip file. Perhaps there is something missing?

    Hi Phillip,

    Thanks for writing back. I don’t think there is any issue with your theme or setup. You just need to configure the post carousel and post slider properly. You will find the setting under Customize > Ethos.

    If you are setting “Featured” post to show, make sure to set them from the post editor under “Ethos Settings”. You can follow this guide for help – https://community.theme.co/kb/customizer-ethos/
