Hi guys,

Been trying to make the essential grid work for a while but no matter what I do (clean browser cache, restart, etc) the grid is not displaying the changes I am making in the skin editor.

– moved the icon to the center, it still shows at the bottom
– been trying to move the text around, still shows at the same position…

Any idea what might be causing that?

You may have experienced browser cache. Please clear your browser cache. Use private browsing mode or Chrome’s incognito mode and test your site again.

You were looking at a different grid – please follow the provided link.

1) As of right now I did change the icon but am having difficulties with the layout of the grid. Trying to have each meta element on its own line but when I try to put a break line between the first two (on top) the top meta moves all the way above the top drop zone (see screen grab) By the way, cannot drop anything in the top drop zone!

2) Also, is there a way to control the vertical space between all the meta elements? Tried to use line breaks but it doesn’t seem to work…

3) One more question about the grid layout – when I set the icon position to absolute, it always displays at the same place (way off like the screen grab above) although I do change the values for top/left px…

Hi there,

#1 I was able to move line break and meta to drop zones, please see the attachment.

#2 Yes, you can adjust that under Layer settings -> Style -> Spacing.

#3 How it should be displayed?

Thank you for the help! No idea why the drop zone is not working for me, cleared the browser cache and it is still a not go.

Anyway, ran into a different issue – trying to replicate the “search” icon position from the first grid on this page: http://www.enjoycrestedbutte.com/the-crested-butte-hiking-guide to the second one on the same page. In the first case the icon is not pushing the text above and in the second, it is pushing it up and in smaller screen sizes the text is not even on the grid…

p.s. I did make the first grid but have no idea how in the first case the icon is aligned right in the middle without “pushing” the text. (the essential grid has been behaving really “buggy”)

If you want the same skin for both essential grids why don’t you assign different template skin?
