I have set up a essential grid NEW GALLERY with a Custom Grid loaded images all with no problem apart from the known bug about Cornerstone Preview. I have added a custom Meta: eg-my-custom-url. However Essential Grid cannot find eg-my-custom-url so that I can create a custom link. It looks as if it’s searching for the key

Thanks for posting in.
It’s not working due to javascript error. Would it be okay if I disable all optimization plugin and rocket loader? But I guess it’s the rocket loader that’s causing it. It’s affecting most of javascript as they are not loaded in order (asynchronous).
I need to confirm if it’s okay so you can backup your site before I proceed.

ON reflection I presume you will re-enable the plugins once the problem has been rectified as obviously I need to keep the site optimised. If the plugs are permanently disabled my site loading time would be too slow so this would not be an answer for me.

Yes, I activated it again, but it’s not related to the plugin. The source is being pulled as blank so there something is blocking or causing the response to be blank. But, I did manually add the custom meta handle to your skin and it’s working. Check it here http://www.protectiondogsuk.co.uk/7378-2/ and the first item is linking. You had to add the URL on each of your item.

Thanks do you just type in the meta key rather than allow it to list the various meta keys so it doesn’t initiate a search?
Thanks again for the support. There seems to be a number of bugs in Essential Grid and no doubt they will get sorted out in due course by your excellent team.

Hello There,
If you have created the custom meta and knew the meta key, you can always type it in to save time.
There are times that caching plugins and other site optimization plugins create issues in your site. It is a good practice that you disable all of these plugins during development. You can activate it once you are finish with the development and ready to go live.

I have similar issue but the meta key field doesn’t “search” for the key, it just doesn’t display anything.
All my caching is turned off and I currently have no optimization plugins installed.
If I manually type in the name of a key that is for Meta data that is text it works, but if the Meta data is an image, the meta data displays as a link to the image in the grid itself, instead of the actual image. 🙁
