I am a WordPress and X Theme newbie. I am migrating a website to WordPress and am using Essential Grid for a webinar library. I am playing a self-hosted html5 video in the lightbox. But, there are no video player controls visible. I can right-click when the video is playing and select “show controls”, but how can I show the controls by default?

Here is the URL to the page with the Essential Grid: http://www.ezbis.com/wordpress/ezbis-webinar-library/

    I am using a self-hosted MP4 video.

    Hello There,

Thanks for providing the url and for the clarifications! To fully understand the full feature and limits of Essential grid in playing a video inside a lightbox, please check out the documentation here: https://www.themepunch.com/essgrid-doc/working-with-video/#video-inside-lightbox

Thanks. I had previously referred to this documentation and watched the tutorial. I am able to link successfully to the lightbox and my self-hosted mp4 video does play. But, there are no video controls for pause/play, ff and rewind as there are for Youtube videos. I understand that the default lightbox is FancyBox. Is there some custom Javascript that I need to add to enable the controls?

    Hey there,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!
