    Hi,

understand the comment about the text length, clear. Apparently the biggest difficulty is to wrote what I would like to achieve 😉 I would like to see the images of my books completely, not cropped. I expect the grid being able to take similar height images with different width. If no solution for it, I have to create square photos with white at each side and put a 1:1 ratio for it. Will still look strange.

No other way such as telling the grid image size to use us up to medium with proportional shrink or so?

    Hi,

maybe I had a thinking error from the first place about WP in this regard. A masonry is always a set of boxes with different height, but similar width with the number of boxed specified in the grid given the responsiveness theme feature.

As an alternative approach I have taken 160×160 px square images downloaded from Amazon and saved them as the “featured image” of the pages while using the original sized image on the page instead. Reading one of your forum posts, I removed the featured image on the pages and posts while keeping them for the grid. Still the image quality is quite lousy compared to the original.

The remaining question: how can I set the link to the following page over the full grid element instead of just the title? This is not clear to me within the skin design. Thanks!

    Hi there,

Is no restriction on the size, you can always change the size from source setting of your grid. The idea is to make width and height the same regardless size, like 600×600 is okay too as long as you allow that size on your grid source setting. You can choose the size that you want and 160×160 is blurry since its placeholder is 200×200 which could stretch.

About the linking, please check it here https://www.themepunch.com/essgrid-doc/essential-grid-documentation/ under Links section.

    Thanks!
