Hello am looking for help linking a button on the cover of my essential grid.

currently when you hover over the images in the grid the cover appears, on each cover there is a button with an envelope, when you hover over the button it turns yellow, when you click this button i would like it to link to a designated email. similar to way a “mailto” link works.

Thank you, I was looking to do something slightly different though.
I was hoping to have it set up so that each grid item is linked to a email address specific to that media element.

Is that a possibility?

Yes, that is possible using Custom Meta. Please check this link:

Check Meta: Set your Grid Items to hyperlink to individual, custom urls that you set via Custom Meta Data.

Thank you for the response. I have the item linked to a custom meta hyperlink, but I think I have the wrong url to prompt an email composition.

currently only have set the top left to elements,
url being used is: https://mailto:email@gmail.com

Please edit your meta and remove https://. I went ahead and changed the first grid item’s meta value.
