Hi there.
I have done lots of research on here about using essential grid within cornerstone, because it seems there was a time when this was not compatible, and then more recently it was confirmed that it is now compatible and should work normally.

I did not find this to be the case. I tried adding my essential grid in the cornerstone as A cornerstone element, essential grid, and also as a shortcode in a basic text element. In both cases it didn’t quite work. The link icons didn’t appear in the rollover state.

Anyway, that was just for your information. Because I didn’t really need to use cornerstone on that page so I have just added my essential grid on a normal page and the rollovers works fine.

But there is one crucial issue. You will see I have added the search files and the sort by option. And neither of these work. When the sort button is click nothing happens.

I Understand you don’t support plugins as such, but this is not a plugin issue but rather to do with how this plugin behaves in X theme.

How can I fix these please? Thank you so much.

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

I just checked and the icon links are appearing, the filter works too. The login isn’t correct too, perhaps you already fixed it?

Just to clarify, I wasn’t saying there was an issue with FILTERING this works fine, the issues are:

1. SORT doesn’t do anything .. it is not starting with the sort settings that I set , AND .. click th arrow to sort and reverse sort does nothing – please just click it and you will see straight away what I mean..

2 . SEARCH doesn’t do anything – this functionality must be meant to include TITLE field .. but when I search on any of the words in any of these title search returns nothing – again, please try by enetering something into the search and you will see what I mean.

3. As a sidenote, regarding Ess Grid, search, whilst I do want to see how to make this work for this project and perhaps future X projects – once we it to behave as it should, can I pls clarify what to expect:

a – Ess Grid search is only for searching within those items in the grid, is that correct?
b – And the standard WordPress search would search the site but NOT include Ess Grid, is that correct?

If this is the case, is there another solution that ti recommend, perhaps a plugin? That can be one search and this search can search wordpress pages / posts / shop .. but also plugins such as Ess Grid? Happy to even look at purchasing something for this if I need to, but I have no idea what is going to be compatible with X and do all of this?

Also note that Essential Grid is a 3rd party plugin, regretfully, we have limited support for it that only covers its compatibility issues with X. So any question related to grids, skin styling or how the certain features and functionality works would be getting outside the support we can offer. b. Yes. It is a custom post type and it’s not included by default. Please check the following article if you want to include custom post type in search result:
