I think I broke my site. It is rizzoinc.com

everything was working fine when I shut it down last night. I opened it this evening and everything opened fine. I wish I could remember if I updated the X theme before this happened as I was doing todays update on a number of sites.

it worked up until I tried to open a revolution slider template. I had opened two footer templates just fine. then I think I opened fullsite block #6 callout6. I tried to preview it and that is when it all fell apart.

I did purchase the revolution slider $19 access to slider templates.

on my dashboard it also says: Elvira gallery and soliloquy no valid license key.

I have a number of licenses but I am confident I am using the correct key as it was working fine for a few weeks now.

I have been using X for almost two years and never an issue with the Theme. this is the first time I tried the revolution themes.

All other updates to X themes I did worked just fine.

I am pretty skilled tech with familiarity with FTP. not sure if sftp is the issue.

Thanks you for the quick response and great support. it is the main reason I use X.

everything is working and validated.

my issue is when I tried to install the child theme I get the same issue. it will not install. it bombs out to the browser. Did you find an issue that would keep me from installing the theme files? I am doing the exact same thing that I have done dozens of times without issue.

Sorry to be a bother, but can you please try the child theme. I prefer to work in the child theme as your site recommends. it is just not working for me.

FYI – did you have any issues with the sFTP? was it slow or fast? errors? if not I will contact go daddy but want to see if you had issues uploading the theme files. I can not make it work reliably.

Hello There,

We could no longer connect with your ftp. Perhaps the information has changed. Regarding the error when you install a child theme, I have successfully installed your child theme with no issues at all. It is already uploaded. All you need to do is activate it in Appearance > Themes.

And since Since you have installed a caching plugin WordFence, please clear your plugin cache before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.
