Rich AParticipantSuccessfully performed the latest X Theme update (v4.6.4) today, however VC refuses to update from v4.12.1 to v5.0. Tried disabling VC, etc., withiout success.
Will post login info in a private message to follow so that you can look at it when time permits.
TIA!

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! You can simply delete the Visual Composer plugin through your WordPress backend and then head over to X Addons section and install it again, so that it will pull the latest X compatible version from our repository.
Thanks!

Rich AParticipantThanks very much, however I followed your advice and encountered the same results.
Deactivated and uninstalled VC.
Installed VC from X Addons. (It installed Visual Composer 4.12).
In a few moments it showed that an update to VC 5.0 was available.
Updated the VC plugin and received the same message, “An error occurred while updating WPBakery Visual Composer: Update package not available.”I tried deactivating VC and updating again, but with the same error/result.
I also completely deleted the plugin via FTP (WP Content > Themes > X > framework > functions > global > plugins > visual-composer.php). I then downloaded the current X Theme files from Themeforest and uploaded the visual-composer.php file via FTP with the exact same result.
It looks as if the current version of VC in the X package is out of date.
TIA for any additional assistance.

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Visual Composer v4.12.1 is the current X compatible version and we still haven’t pushed any update for VC 5.x. So you can ignore that update notification for now, through we’re planning provide this update as soon as possible for X theme customers.
Check the latest X compatible version numbers from here (https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/).
Thanks!

Rich AParticipantThanks Darshana.
My first post indicated that I was using v4.12.1 of VC. It would have saved us both some time and trouble if I would have known that it was the latest version from the beginning.
FWIW the compatibility page (https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/) states: Visual Composer: | Latest Supported Version: 5.0
So even that is confusing.
Thanks for the follow-up though.
Cheers.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating in! Several hours later from the last reply, VC has been updated in our plugin repository. Sorry for the miscommunication there. You should be able to update to Version 5.0 now.
Please let us know how it goes.

Rich AParticipantHi Rue Nel. I was able to successfully update to Visual Composer v5.0 using WP Update without any issues.
Thanks very much for your support.
Best wishes.
