vanselmo1208ParticipantWhen trying to install the Slider Revolution plugin from the X Addons page, I receive an error message: “Your WordPress file permissions do not allow plugins to be installed.”
I have installed other plugins, so … there is a unique issue to this one.
I was able to successfully install the Slider Revolution plugin from the regular WordPress addons page (selecting the .zip file from my local machine), but the installed version says I need a license key to activate it. I cannot find this key.
I’ve spent way too many hours trying to figure this out (and searching forums). Can you tell me what is wrong?
Thanks,
Bryan

John EzraMemberHi Bryan,
Thanks for writing in! Sorry you are facing an issue. If you installed using the bundled extension, it should-be fully functional without issue regardless of the activation nag. The only things that aren’t included in a bundled version is some premium features like support from the original developer. Other than that it should all be working. This nag doesn’t usually appear since it is an bundled plugin, but in some cases it does. If you are not seeing any functional issues then it should be fine to just ignore the nag. If you are not able to use the slider functions, then there is another issue.
In that case, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentialsDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

RupokMemberHi there,
I see what you are referring. That’s same for all and it won’t interrupt you to use Revolution Slider. If you have standalone license for this then the activation can be used; but it’s not necessary when you are using this with X. Ignore this as you don’t need this.
Cheers!
