I’m getting this error when I try to log in, haven’t been in there for a month or so, so not sure when it started.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_cache_get() in /home/thecjdrocks/public_html/wp-includes/option.php on line 1117

Site itself seems to be functioning fine.

    Hey There,

    Thanks for writing in!

Would you mind deleting and reinstalling the cache plugin from your current setup? You can remove it from the FTP of your site. While deleting the plugin, you should change its name from the FTP to avoid such errors in the future.

This will remove the caching plugin which causes this error.

Let us know how this goes!

I have W3 total cache installed, is that what your are referring to?

And if that is the case, I don’t understand what you mean about “changing it’s name” ?

    Hi there,

Changing the name will deactivate the plugin if you can’t login. But as you are able to log in, you can try deactivating the plugin. You can do this by for all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

So, are you referring to the W3 total cache plug-in?

Also, what would happen if I just deleted the “option.php” the error is referring to?
