    Hi Henry,

I am seeing this right now – http://prntscr.com/bs2bj0

Is that correct? Or are you referring any other issue?

Note that it’s always difficult to understand the issue when the thread goes a bit long. Kindly co-operate us to understand the current issue so that we could assist you better.

    Cheers!

    Hi Rupok,

So I’m currently back to using the 3rd party plugin (Font Awesome Icons) for the menu icons, which was causing the wrong (old version) of the G+ social icon to display there on non-Cornerstone pages (minor issue).

One of your colleagues has changed the icon from G+ (f0d5) to G (f1a0) which is not a solution to the problem.

It seems that if I disable the plugin I am using for the menu icons (Font Awesome Icons), the problem is fixed, however I then need to recreate my menu icons without using the plugin, and that is where I ran into more major problems with the advice I’ve been given here: When I save the menu the icon code is converted to a null character so it is not a sustainable solution… every time I or my client wants to alter the menu in any way all the icons in the menu will break.

As I said at the start the issue I started with is really minor so if you can’t figure it out it’s probably best to just leave it.

    Thanks,

    Henry

    Hi Henry,

    Sorry about that.

Kindly disable Font Awesome Icons plugin then to add icons to your menus you can use the code below.

    <i class="x-icon x-icon-cutlery" data-x-icon="&#xf0f5;" aria-hidden="true"></i> MENUS
    <i class="x-icon x-icon-camera" data-x-icon="&#xf030;" aria-hidden="true"></i> FOOD PICS
    <i class="x-icon x-icon-calendar" data-x-icon="&#xf073;" aria-hidden="true"></i> CALENDAR
    <i class="x-icon x-icon-group" data-x-icon="&#xf0c0;" aria-hidden="true"></i> GET A QUOTE
    <i class="x-icon x-icon-shopping-cart" data-x-icon="&#xf07a;" aria-hidden="true"></i> SHOP
    <i class="x-icon x-icon-bullhorn" data-x-icon="&#xf0a1;" aria-hidden="true"></i> PRESS
    <i class="x-icon x-icon-phone" data-x-icon="&#xf095;" aria-hidden="true"></i> CONTACT
    <i class="x-icon x-icon-truck" data-x-icon="&#xf0d1;" aria-hidden="true"></i> DELIVEROO

You can check for the icons unicodes(data-x-icon) from the link below

    Hope that helps

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for your effort, but I’ve tried that and I have the same problem. The code is converted to a null character and on subsequent save becomes a question mark.

    Hi Henry,

That’s weird and seems a encoding issue. However if your issue is solved with the plugin, let’s go with that for now.

    Thanks!

By using the Font Awesome Icons plugin I’m back at square one, with the old G+ icon displaying on most pages. As I said it’s a minor issue, I had hoped it would be solvable but never mind. Thanks for your time.

    You’re welcome!

Although I tried to add the previous suggestion of Paul via browser and its working.
