Rich HParticipantfinally used the gallery, its quite nice, but the SEO is seriously lacking. There is no alt or title tags for any of the images in the gallery. Is it possible to add this somehow without manually editing the code?

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Envira Gallery is integrated plugin of X but still it’s a third party plugin and we can’t add/edit any feature/functionality to this. However we can surely let them know about this on behalf of you so that they can take any necessary action.
Cheers!

Rich HParticipantThere is an option to add alt text and title text, but it doesn’t work at all, I’ve tried several browsers and it just doesn’t save. Would be SO MUCH better if it just used the default wordpress media library meta info.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. Maybe you are referring the images that will be open in lightbox. I know “all” image tags should have alter tag but for the lightbox images, alt tag is just useless as it won’t be visible. But since it might affect the SEO so it should be there, I admit. What we can do is, letting them (plugin developers) know about the issue so they can take care of this.
Cheers!

Rich HParticipantIt seems with the latest version of the plugin released it is working better. Its still not fully right though if yo could pass the message on to them somehow.
Take for instance this page
http://zacharycadehomes.com/paisley-road-north-vancouver/
In the envira gallery, I have set an alt and title for every picture, yet for some reason the plugin is randomly taking the tags. Some images have both alt and title, some have only alt, and others only have title tags. Its much better after this release (the save meta data button wasn’t working prior) but if this could be sorted out it would be fantastic!
