Hi! My name is Luca Viani and i’m a video maker. I have a problem with the x-theme (that is by the way FANTASTIC )

but is the same with all embedded video with computer mac, pc and any browsre but not on ipad or iphone…

Never happen before…. same website same videos….

is a plugin?

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! Try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

OK thank the ploblem is caused by the plungin “The Grid” but I want to use it ( it’s distributed with your theme right? )
so i need to wait some upgrade?

I Believe you have The Grid deactivated right now, right?

All the videos seems to be working.

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

Hi there,

Another support here, I checked and all the videos works. I’m not really sure what issues I should look for, would you mind providing a video recording about the issue?

Also, your The Grid’s media element library is loaded globally and that causes conflict to existing X’s media element styling. I went ahead and turned it off, you can find that on your The Grid’s global setting.

Hi! Tanks it was the global setting up the “The Grid” plugin that cause the problem but only on computer browser the symptom is that the video box not showing nor the video controls or the poster images.

Now the videos works

but is very easy to download the mp4 there is a way in x to prevent download of the sefhosted videos?

automatic poster frames?

and one last question: there is a way to remove the gray line around the website limit and under header the upper menu?

Hi there,

It depends on the browser if it will going to download the video or play it. Sometimes, streaming is not supported by the site itself. And sometimes it’s due to video formatting, a formatting that iOS might handle differently. What browser is downloading the video?

And please add this CSS to your customizer’s custom CSS,

.x-boxed-layout-active .entry-wrap, .x-navbar, .x-boxed-layout-active .site {
    border: 0px;
    box-shadow: none;
}
