Chris BParticipantHi guys,
I’m using The Grid within cornerstone and was wondering how to do a couple things:
1. I’m using a grid for blog posts, so i was wondering if theres a way to add about 50 characters or so from the blog post text to the hover overlay I have set up? heres my test page
(as an example of what I’m trying to accomplish: http://laurenscotti.com/journal/) <<notice on hover
2. If thats a possibility, then i would also love to have it all centered within each box (also similar to the example above).3. am i able to give the grid a max width of 60% on larger browsers, but 90% on smaller/mobile browsers?
Thanks in advance!!

LelyModeratorHello Chris,
This is possible with some custom development since The GRID plugin doesn’t offer this option. This will depend on the skins you have chosen, and then we have to edit those skins. Please check the documentation here :http://theme-one.com/docs/the-grid/ under Developers Guide. Then you can edit those specific skins that we can find in this folder:wp-content\plugins\the-grid\includes\item-skins\
Regarding the width, are you referring to the entire grid width or single grid item that will be adjust to 60%? Please clarify.
If you’re not comfortable doing the edits on the skin template file, you may wish to consult a developer to achieve this. Thank you for understanding.

Chris BParticipantThanks for the reply! To answer your question, I am referring to the entire grid width to be adjusted to 60% on larger screens, and 95% on smaller/mobile screens.
I was wondering how i might be able to change a grid item from just displaying an image when clicked on? (I would like the grid item to be linked to the blog post its showing instead.)
Also, I want to get rid of the animation fade-in on the title overlay within each grid item… any help there?
Thanks in advance!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thank you for the clarifications!
1] The entire width of the grid is totally dependent on the column width. I would suggest that you edit your page/post again and find the row settings. You need to disable the column container so that the column will have the fullwidth and the same as the width of the section width within your page.
2] We could not check the page that has your grid. All the effects and the items within your grid was being displayed because of whatever grin skin you have selected. Each of the skin presents the grid item in different ways. Please try to change the skin and select the best possible that may resemble what you have in mind.
Hope this helps.
