    Hi,

Where is the best place to edit the stlye.css of the Child Theme? Is it under the Editor menu on the WPadmin dashboard or elsewhere?

Furthermore I’m not seeing An X Child Theme folder within my local Folder manager (see second screenshot).Where is it likely to be located (as I have downloaded it hence why it is on the WP dashboard). Thanks.

    Hi There,

It depends on where you are comfortable. In my case I download the style.css file via FTP then edit it locally via text editor then upload it again.

Child theme folder should be on the same folder where X theme is. If you’re not seeing it but then child theme is active, it might be renamed. If not would you mind giving us admin and FTP credentials on a private reply so we can check?

    Hi There,

I can see that it is renamed to x framework.
Please do give us your site and admin credentials too so we can double check.

    Hi,

What is the process of editing the html when using the Child Theme?n Do I need to place any .php or .css file in the stack that I am using (eg Renew)? What’s the process of changing shortcodes, etc. Thanks.

    Hi Paul,

Does this information (above) take into consideration the new format of the Child Theme? Thanks.

    Hi There,

Yes it does. But not resembles the directory, as we all know the new child themes has its all stacks folder inside the /x-child/framework/views/ directory. But The idea is the same, you need to copy the original template (.php) file from the parent x|theme and paste that on the corresponding directory on child theme and do your modifications in there.

Its more convenient to add and edit your custom CSS on the Child theme’s style.css file.

    Hope this shed some lights.

    Thanks.
