Does purchase of a new license for X Theme allow me to start over if I modified an original X Theme without creating a child theme?

I purchased X, modified it by uploading demo content. I wanted to revert to original settings (and needed another license anyway) so I purchased another license and installed it but it looks like the previous version of the theme after I installed the demo content.

What do I need to do to start completely from scratch as though I was a first time purchaser of X Theme?

    Searched the Forum (for HOURS!).

    Please advise.

My site is scottcmacleod.com and I’m using WordPress 4.7

    Thanks,

    Scott

    Hello Scott,

    Thanks for writing in!

If you want to start from scratch please delete or remove all the demo content manually. You can also set up a fresh WordPress installation.

    Thanks.

Yes, but HOW do I delete the demo content? Where does the demo content live? How do I distinguish demo content from other content?

In order to set up a fresh WP installation, I would also need to manually delete files.

I’m on a MacBook Pro, have very little understanding of programming. Where are the WP and other files located?

    Thanks

    Hi There,

    The easiest would be to

    a) Delete all posts and pages manually via WP Admin Dashboard

    b) Delete wordpress and install everything from the beginning.

On wordpress most of the content are stored on the database so it is fairly complicated to delete, there are no files let´s say..

You should know what you created and what you did not, that is the only way you can tell what is a demo content..I don´t mean to be rude, but it is the only way.

Let us know if you need further help.
