Hello, How can I display the description you can input into the tag section onto my tag page.

Thanks for writing in!

To display the description of your tags, please go to Posts > Tags and edit the tag and insert the Archive title and Archive subtitle. Please see the screenshot http://prntscr.com/70jgx4

In the meantime, you can only insert the title and subtitle to your category or tag page. The category/tag description field won’t display it on the site.

The pages I am trying to add descriptions to are the archive pages (tags, categories and custom taxonomies) Example: http://www.willpursell.com/style/luxury/

Great! worked with the descriptions. Is there a way to make it work with Tags and custom Taxonomies as well?

Hi,

To make it work on tags and custom taxonomies, edit your file x-child/framework/views/renew/_landmark-header.php.

In ~ line 68-77 code reads

<?php elseif ( is_tag() || x_is_portfolio_tag() || x_is_product_tag() ) : ?>

            <?php

            $meta  = x_get_taxonomy_meta();
            $title = ( $meta['archive-title'] != '' ) ? $meta['archive-title'] : __( 'Tag Archive', '__x__' );

            ?>

            <h1 class="h-landmark"><span><?php echo $title ?></span></h1>

Please change it to be

<?php elseif ( is_tag() || x_is_portfolio_tag() || x_is_product_tag() ) : ?>

            <?php

            $meta  = x_get_taxonomy_meta();
            $title = ( $meta['archive-title'] != '' ) ? $meta['archive-title'] : __( 'Tag Archive', '__x__' );

            ?>

            <h1 class="h-landmark"><span><?php echo $title ?></span></h1>
<p class="tag-desc"><?php echo tag_description(); ?></p>

Thanks so much, It works for tags (http://www.willpursell.com/tag/barn/) but custom taxonomies won’t work ( http://www.willpursell.com/venues/hycroft/ ). I have a description in both.

            <p class="term-desc"><?php echo term_description(); ?></p>
