Jacko_PintoParticipantHello.
We want to password protect a few of the pages inside our site; but we’d like to provide a different password for users. We don’t want users to have the same password but rather have each of them use their own to acces that one page. How can I do this?
Thanks!

ChristopherModeratorHey there,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!

Jacko_PintoParticipantThanks for the reply.
I guess I misunderstood… how does the protect element work then? (see attached)
Thanks!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for the updates! The Content protect element enables you to display the WP login form when you want a content that is only visible by the login users. You can check it out here: http://demo.theme.co/integrity-1/shortcodes/protected-content/
The content protect is only good if you will hide a certain block of content for logged out users. The users will be using their own username and own password. Unlike with the password protected pages that all users would be sharing the same password for the page.
Meanwhile, for password protected pages, even if you are logged in, you still need to insert the password because the content’s visibility is set as “Password protected”. For more details about this, please see the codex: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Password_Protection
Hope this helps.
