robkhooParticipantHi guys,
Have been looking around for an answer to this but can’t find.
I’m trying to work out the difference between a section and a row, especially when I’m adding a number of elements stacked on top of each other. Are there any performance benefits to using one over the other for example?
Also, are there things I can achieve with using a new section that I couldn’t do if just adding a new row? Thanks,
Robert

ChristianModeratorHey Robert,
A section must have a row because the row contains the columns and have additional options options. Please see Please see https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-interface-layout/ for more details.
Thanks.

robkhooParticipantHi,
Thanks for the quick reply.
A follow-up question on this:
If I wanted three things on my homepage (A slider, text element and list of recent posts) all stacked on top of each other – would I be better off dividing into 3 sections (all with 1 row), or have just 1 section with 3 rows?

ChristianModeratorIt would be safe if you separate them in Sections for future styling purposes because you get an extra wrapper. But, this really depends on your content. I’d recommend that you experiment on a test page to get a feel of how it works. If the page is really simple, you can go for 1 section with 3 rows. Also, take note of the options that is available for one and not the other.
Thanks.
