RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Make sure to add the development site by clicking “Add Development Environment (Optional)” from your Themeco account page. Then try validating with the purchase code.
Follow this for details – https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/
Cheers!

JoaoModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in!
Please do the following:
1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation.
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license. https://community.theme.co/my-account/
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again. If that does not work, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentials
-Confirm your url is well assigned here: https://community.theme.co/my-account/Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Thanks
Joao

parkerParticipantThere is no “site address” in General settings. I Think this is because its hosted at WPengine. Any other Suggestions?

NicoModeratorHi There,
Would you mind sharing us the details of the setup of your dev site.
Thanks.

parkerParticipantIm not sure of the setup details. WPengine auto creates the staging environment. Can you give me the questions to ask them and I can relay the answers.
I found this documentation not sure if it will help.

parkerParticipantI dont understand what you are asking me to try. I’ve read the resources but what does that have to do with validating the theme?

RahulModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Automatic updates and bundled extensions won’t be available via one click installs. As well as their incremental updates. However, you can validate you dev site. Our Licenses are one license for one site. It doesn’t mean that once you use it on a domain it is stuck on that domain forever. If you no longer use a domain, you can revoke the API key and use the license on the new one.
In your case you can validate your dev site, then when it is ready, just revoke the API key and then generate a new one for the live domain.
You can review the process here: https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/
Hope this helps – thanks!

parkerParticipantAre you saying I can not have a Production and Development site on one License?
September 21, 2016 at 8:29 am #1184600
JoaoModeratorHi,
Sorry for the confusion,
As you can see on your license page ( https://community.theme.co/my-licenses/ ) you can validate production a nd development sites.
I personally don´t have much experience with WP Enegine, but if the URLS are not setup correctly on your website it won´t validate and that is why Darshana has reccomended you to have a look on that material.
Let us know if you have further questions,
Joao

parkerParticipantSo what do I do if my Development site is not validating on the same license as my Production and I have followed all the documentation?
