RupokMemberHi there,
Are you referring a staging site? It’s always good to have a development environment where you can do modification first, update theme and plugins so that when everything goes right, you can proceed to your live site. It’s useful because after updating a plugin, you might have some error and that might down your site for a while until you fix this. It’s bad for a live site. So when you do these things at development site, you will already know about the issues without affecting the users on your live site.
You can just use a subdomain as your staging site and validate as development site with your purchase key.
Hope this makes sense.

RahulModeratorHey There,
Thank you for writing in!
If you migrate or transfer your site to staging or live. You could use the same child theme you were using on the other site. You could also export your customizer’s setting then import it to your other site (this includes all settings and customization you added on previous one). Then, same goes for sliders, export them and import to your new site.
Meanwhile, you can follow this plugin to copy the site :
https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
Hope this helps.
