bob_wildParticipantdesign ideas – Ethos theme
I would like to add a tutorial section to my website. I’m pondering how to achieve this.
with the Ethos theme the blogs auto show on the home page, this is ‘not’ what I want. I’d rather have the tutorial on there own
So what is the best way?
1) Create a page for each weekly tutorial and have it link back to the main tutorial page
2) is there a way to ‘not’ have the blog show on the home page and create a category called tutorials and have the tutorial blogs show on there own page. I’ve looked at the element ‘Recent Post’ but find it limiting.
3) was looking at linking to the category page called tutorials, however I would like to change it up a bitAny suggestions a welcome.

LelyModeratorHi There,
1.) We can use portfolio here. On admin create portfolio item. Then create a page Tutorial, under page Templates: choose Layout – Portfolio. On Portfolio settings: select the category.
2.)Yes. Go to Admin > Settings > Reading > Front page displays: Choose Static and the set static page for homepage and select which page you want the blog to display.
3.)Please clarify how you want to change so we can be specific on our suggestion.
Hope this helps.

bob_wildParticipantLely – so using item 1 each tutorial I add will be designed using the portfolio?

RupokMemberHi there,
Each tutorial (portfolio item) will be added to the page template when you create this. If you have other concern, kindly explain a bit.
Cheers!
