Hi Team,

I am using X on a live site and installed the Extended Agency Demo sometime ago, probably around four months ago.

Today, after meeting with a new client, I changed the theme from Extended Agency Demo to the Standard ICON 10 demo.

Once I installed it, I saw that the ICON 10 demo black background images were not installed as I was making some lightweight changes to the ICON 10 homepage in Cornerstone and added some new values to the Menu. I then backed it up to a XCS JSON file because I wanted the ICON 10 About page as well and thought that I should try downloading the ICON 10 demo once again.

I went to the forum to see if anyone else was having the same issue, and read your notes that you will be asked if you want to download posts and portfolio items. I was not asked that when I went to download.

I went to Dashboard -> X Addons -> demo content.

I selected the following in the respective titles:
Demo content = Icon 10m but I don’t get the following questions that others wrote that they get:

I did not get asked:
Import Posts = yes
Homepage Markup = standard
Import Portfolio Items = yes

The only option I got is “Set up demo content”

After it says “Have Fun”, I get ICON 10 but without any of the background graphics as seen in your live ICON 10 demo.

Is there any way I can download the demo ICON 10?

Also, after I installed ICON 10 again, and when I imported the XCS JSON file, it did not restore the change I had made to the Home page and to the menu.

I understand that some items in the demos are copyrighted but I don’t know if the background images are.

Also I remember there used to be an XML file in addition to the XCS file for installing demos. Did I leave a step out?

I also ran xclean cache as well.

Hello There,

Thanks for posting in and giving us complete information. You’re correct, images on standard demo are copyrighted and it will be replace instead with place holders. Standard demo, right now will give you the homepage only with it’s customizer settings and page setup. No sample post, portfolio items, and inside pages. It is Expanded Demo that comes completely with inside pages, post and complete with images.
