I very new to starting a website. After experimenting with X for a while I decided to start fresh.
I deleted all themes from my site and reset my WordPress account…then I reinstalled X and the X-Child theme.
Then I attempted to load the Ethos 1 demo content. Some of it loaded, but no media nor slider content.
Any idea what’s going on?

Thanks for writing in! Note that the standard demos are only contains the layout of home page and in addition the portfolio and post placeholders. So you won’t get any page with standard demos.
Only Expanded demos include things like images, pages and all the “done for you things”. So if you are looking for a complete demo with pages then you can choose any of our expanded demo.

The first time I loaded the Eros 1 demo, It had pictures and sliders and pages. That was a couple of weeks ago. Why is it different now?
Shouldn’t there at least be pages?

Ethos 1 doesn’t have any slider, pages, pictures. It only has image placeholders, home page, and customize settings. X standard demo is been like that since the beginning. I’m not sure where’d you get that demo for Ethos 1. The only complete demo is expanded demos.

The last time I loaded the Eros 1 demo content, I had posts on the landing page. Now, even though there are posts, nothing shows on the landing page. Even when I created a new test post, it doesn’t show on the home page.
Am I doing something wrong?Under Settings/Reading, I’ve selected my Front Page to display “Your latest posts” yet there’s nothing on my Front page. How do I see my latest posts on my front page?
Further, how would I edit my Front Page if it isn’t actually a page? i.e. I haven’t created a home page… I’m just viewing the landing page.
