There seems to be a beige/gray background that can’t go away from our page, and I’d like to change it to just white.
Other than that, is there any way to edit the sidebar and footer widgets from the customiser instead of the widgets page? I’m given an error that says there are no widget areas. I’ve activated the ones in the footer (4 widget areas) and it still gives the error.Hello There,
Thanks for writing in! To remove the beige/gray background in your pages, please go to the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Layout & Design > Background Options. You need to update the background pattern and background image since you have used the demo content to set up your site. Temporarily select an image for your background pattern and background image. You can then remove it after. You have to do this step just to update the setting you have in the customizer.

Thanks! That has fixed the problem of the background, but not the one of the widgets? We’ve decided to remove the sidebar in the end, but would like to know if there’s a way to edit the widgets in the footer from the customizer 🙂
Also, there seems to have popped up a strange space between the header and the content… any way to get rid of this? Cheers!
