I have a multi-lingual site: English, French, Portuguese and Arabic. Since upgrading to X 2.6.0, WordPress 4.5.3, WMPL (Multilingual CMS 3.4.1) the dashboard admin menu is behaving weird on Arabic pages. The admin menu obscures a significant part (about 20-25%) on the left of each page. So, when viewing the dashboard, editing a page the menu is in the way of information you might want to view and buttons you might want to press. In particular, when editing a page, it is impossible to actually click on Update to update a page.

I’ve attached a screenshot that clearly illustrates the problem.

The actual Arabic website itself continues to work fine, but I’m currently unable to edit it via the WordPress dashboard while this problem persists.

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – FTP credentials

Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

I understand why it would be helpful for you to have admin access, but there are major security and trust issues with that approach. My customer prefers that I don’t give admin access to their site to someone that I can’t personally vouch for, so I continued my own investigation.

After reverting back to an earlier version of X-theme, the problem still persisted, which helped to narrow my search. Eventually I discovered there was an issue with the WPML configuration. If Arabic (RTL) wasn’t set as the default admin language (in our case we want it set to English), the Arabic (RTL) pages wouldn’t display correctly unless each User checks “Set admin language as editing language” in their User Profile. It’s not clear in the WPML releases list where this new functionality was introduced and why it should have suddenly manifested itself.

I’ve added this explanation here just in case someone else should encounter the same issue.
