You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

suzannereidParticipantWow, thank you for your quick reply! I should have tried the plugins before writing here. 😀 I found that the issue was the “WordPress Countdown plugin” that I installed to make a temporary count down page. The reason why I did not go with the Under Construction page add-on that comes with X is that I did not find it customizable enough. I guess I will have to look around for another countdown plugin.
