sunshipParticipantHi, I would like to edit the title of my saved custom block and page templates. Are they physically located somewhere, or just database entries? If thery are database entries, can I access the titles in phpmyadmin or some other front end? thanks

NicoModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in.
As far as I understood your request, you are change the title of the screenshot I uploaded in the attachments. We can’t assist you to modify the view or layout or texts standard of the cornerstone that might cause other issue. If you need to do it you can try yourself in your risk or could look for a plugin developer that could help you with it.
I will also forward this feature to our developers so that they could add an option for editing cornerstone page templates or blocks.
Thank you so much for understanding.

sunshipParticipant??? Boy, it’s hard to understand your reply 😉
I have saved custom templates as you can see in the screenshot I’ve attached (see: ‘My Blocks’).
I want to change the names of some of these templates. This should be easy, but there doesn’t seem to be a provision for this in Coornerstone or x-theme itself. If I could locate the saved template, I could change the name manually.
Isn’t this clear?
Thank you.

JoaoModeratorHi There,
Inside Cornerstone insert your saved templated in a page, save it again as block or page with your new name.
Delete the old one.
Hope that helps,
Joao

colorcomParticipantGreat info! Thanks…
Another question: If I delete a template, will that affect any pages that are using that deleted template?
Also, can I edit an existing template? If so, how?

FriechModeratorHi There,
No, it won’t affect any page deleting a cornerstone’s block template.
Yes, insert your block template to a draft page.
Edit that block and save it.
Then delete the old block template.Thanks.

colorcomParticipantThanks! Huge sigh of relief. Am still a little confused about the difference between a block template and a page. I thought that a block was a snippet of an element that I can save as block as opposed to a page….Much appreciation for the help with this learning curve.

FriechModeratorHi There,
A block template is saving just a part of your page to be a template. While the page template is saving the entire page as template.
Keep in mind when importing cornerstone template. When you insert a Block template to your page it will appended to your existing content.
On the other hand when you import a Page template, that template will overwrite your existing content.
Thanks.
