    Hi ThemeCo!

I’m currently trying to add a custom structure for permalinks. When I do that, my pages display a 404.

I have tried multiple solutions (vanilla “save”, checking .htaccess file, disabling plugins, etc.) to no avail.

    Any ideas?

    Hi there,

Which custom permalink structure you are using. Make sure to use proper syntax if you write your own permalink structure. You can check this to see how it works – https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

    Cheers!

Could you please give us an example of your custom url? Or you mean to use a URL shortener? For more details about permalinks and urls, you may check these out:

    E.g. http://www.website.com/thisismycustomslug instead of http://www.website.com/?page_id=1423

I have done this on at least 3 dozen websites so those links aren’t of any help

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing back. Check the permalink settings under Settings > Permalinks. You just needed to set “Post name” to get this structure.

    Cheers!
