    hi guys,

I want to add a custom search button/link to a client’s site, but I’m not having any luck with the string I’m trying so far and hope you can point me in the right direction.

I’d like to provide results that show a custom post type with a certain tag.

    The CPT is “itinerary”.
The tags are “customizable”, “village experience” “founder-led” and “volunteer”.

I have several itineraries already tagged as “customizable” right now.

But when I run this URL: domain/?s=post_type=itinerary+tag=customizable I get no results.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thx!

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! Extending WordPress search functionality would be outside the scope of the theme support. However try using a plugin and see if that works for you (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-extended-search/).

    Thanks!
