oldOtterParticipantHey guys,
I am working on a site that uses the “Private” setting to create a “Protected” page that requires a password. I used the following code in my child theme to get some much needed padding:
.page-id-101784 form {
padding: 5%;
}I am wondering if there is any way to customize what that page looks like. It would be great to have an extension, similar to the Custom 404 extension, to design this protected password submit form page. Until you make that extension, because it is a spectacular idea, can you help point me in a direction to style/design this page better? I’d like to make some columns, add some content, a search, links, etc.
Thanks!

RupokMemberHi there,
It’s just a simple page which ask for password since the page should not be heavy with design that might retract the users to find the password field. However we can assist you to add some styling with Custom CSS though. Provide your URL and let us know what else you are trying to achieve.
Cheers!

oldOtterParticipantHey guys, I would like to design it like a gated page. Simple two columns, one to explain what the content is behind the page and how to go about gaining access (maybe even a contact form), then the second column with the password entry. I’d like that design to match the rest of the site. My comment is it would be a nice feature to be able to do this like a custom 404 page, rather than being stuck with the WP default and only custom css. Thanks for the offer! I really appreciate that. I’m comfortable doing that on my own, just wanted to make the suggestion for a future tool/extension.

JadeModeratorHi there,
We certainly appreciate the feedback! This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive. Thanks!
