    Hello,

I’ve been reading about adding a custom font to a site. However, I don’t understand the first part I keep seeing. “Download the files and upload them to fonts folder in your theme directory.”

Where do I find the theme directory?

    Thank you.

    Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! Because this requires a template change, I’d advise that you setup a child theme. This allows you to make code changes that won’t be overwritten when an X update is released. After your child theme is setup, please review how we recommend making template changes in Customization Best Practices.

You can find your child theme’s directory by logging in to your ftp using Filezilla (or other ftp client) and you need to browse to this folder:

    wp-content/themes/x-child/fonts/

If the fonts folder doesn’t exist yet, you need to create this folder.
