stephanie gParticipantHi guys,
I recently updated our website http://www.spiralpraxis.org to the latest version of cornerstone and X theme. After install, I noticed that the CSS rules I had placed in the customizer were no longer present. When I opened the Css Customizer in the new X theme, the interface was new and the css rules were blank!
I am using the RENEW stack and have no idea why the update erased the css rules (which were extensive). I do have backups of my site. Where can I find the old settings so I can restore them?

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
That’s weird. Updating shouldn’t alter customizer settings. If you have backup from customizer settings, you can import it under X addons page.
Please provide us with URL and login credentials so we can take a closer look.
Thanks.

stephanie gParticipantHi Chris, actually I notice that the problem is weirder than that. I re-looked at the css customizer and see that it opens by default to the right—so if I scroll to the left, the settings are there! That was a source of relief but the css rules I placed are still broken. And there is a very weird behavior as follows:
(1) when I open the site on my desktop mac, there is no problems
(2) when I open the site on my laptop mac (any of them), the site is brokenSo I did not notice the site was broken (css rules not applied) until I opened it through my laptop. I will send my login details immediately in the next reply….thanks for your quick reply.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
If you clear cache, the site is broken on all devices.
I’m sorry you’re experiencing this after the update. What you’re seeing is a result of the X CSS path structure being changed back in version 4.3.3. You can fix this by using the updated child theme format that isn’t stack specific. Or you can update the path instyle.cssof your child theme. For more information on this process, take a look at the 4.3.3 release notes: http://theme.co/changelog/#theme-4-3-3Hope it helps.
