JfantasyBooksParticipantHey there, Themeco Team!
Name: JFantasyBooks
Site: Fantasy-Books
Site Url: https://fantasy-books.live
WordPress Version: 4.6.1
X Version: 4.6.4
Cornerstone Plugin Version: 1.3.3Problem:
The way that thumbnails and the post carousal are represented have this unique function to it that are similar to what you can get on a grid.
Is there a way of doing it for individual posts without having to make a grid?
For example, on cornerstone, I would just design this ‘thumbnail’ that links to a post or page of my choosing. Basically, a thumbnail I can customize.

LelyModeratorHello There,
Yes, that is possible.
For example, this featured image:https://fantasy-books.live/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Aeterna-Saga-Book-Cover2.jpg thumbnail is https://fantasy-books.live/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Aeterna-Saga-Book-Cover2-150×150.jpg
You can use that thumbnail.Hope this helps.

JfantasyBooksParticipantI’m not referring to making thumbnails. More like the way the post images are featured on the frontpage of the site.
The way the featured image is represented where it asks you ‘view post’ when you hover over it.
I’m trying to make them something like that but be able to chose the links and the text.

LelyModeratorHello There,
Thank you for clarification. There is a way but without grid it will be using Custom HTML and using custom CSS. It is like from scratch. It would be easier if you can use Essential Grid or The GRID. We can edit existing skins/design or make a new one. There’s also available META information that we can use if we want to use custom image or text. This link might help:https://www.themepunch.com/faq/add-essential-grid-custom-meta-to-page-or-post-via-shortcode/

JfantasyBooksParticipantOk! If it’s easier that way, then great! I have the essential grid plugin installed or if you want to use The GRID (which is a part of x theme, i think) that’s ok too.
Any ideas on how I would start off?
How can I recreate the ‘featured post thumbnail’ that’s on the frontpage, but is not linked to posts? I would like to chose the link and text.. etc.
