michaellanfieldParticipantI would like to create a 3 layout site. One middle box for content and a sidebar on the left and on the right of the main content box. All of them to be boxed style like in facbeook. How to achieve this with renew theme, or any theme for that matter? Thank you.

michaellanfieldParticipantIt is possible to do this throughout the entire site with the already existing pages and posts?

LelyModeratorHello There,
This settings is available on Cornerstone and it is per page basis. So if your pages and post were created using Cornerstone, you can edit each of those and adjust those settings. Unfortunately, this is not possible as one time change and then applied to every page of the site.
Hope this helps.

michaellanfieldParticipantI did not create my pages/posts with cornerstone, so is there another way to have the entire site setup like Facebook with 3 columns?

RupokMemberHi there,
You can only setup custom column with Cornerstone. As you are using X you should use Cornerstone to build your page to get maximum features and functionality. If you are using default editor then you can try Column shortcodes – http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/columns/
Hope this makes sense.
Cheers!

michaellanfieldParticipantI understand. Isn’t there no way to create 2 sidebars, left and right of the middle content?

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
X supports one sidebar and adding additional sidebar could be possible with custom development which would be outside the scope of our support.
You can achieve similar layout by dividing a section to multiple columns.
Thanks for your understanding.

michaellanfieldParticipantI understand it could be done with cornerstone. At first when I created the site I edited pages manually, but I am starting to design it with cornerstone now. One thing though, the reason I would like to use 2 sidebars instead of one is because if I need to update the content in the sidebars, I don’t have to manually edit dozens of pages and posts.
I understand it is possible to create a site with 2 sidebars. Could you direct me to information where I could learn how to do it or a plugin that would let me do this? Thanks.

FriechModeratorHi There,
You can read the WordPress documentation here on creating custom page templates. This template file should be place on your child theme.
Did you know that in Cornerstone you have the Widget Area element, which output a Sidebar.
That way you do only edit the sidebar not all the pages/posts.
Thanks.

michaellanfieldParticipantCool. If I already created many pages, how is this exactly done? I won’t lose any information will I? And can it be implemented with posts, especially when users use forms with Frontend Publishing Pro plugin to publish posts? http://wpfrontendpublishing.com

RupokMemberHi there,
You can create a new test page and try this. It could be done on any page or post that you can edit with Cornerstone.
Thanks

RahulModeratorHey there,
As Rupok said, you can try creating a new page and give the layout given above a try!
Thanks
