tbingelParticipantHi,
my main page contains eight Revolution Slider items within four columns/two rows structure, done earlier with Visual Composer.
Now only two of the eight slides appear on the page, each spanning the entire content width, in two rows and with corrupted internal layout.
I could not fix the problem.
Could you please help me on this?
Thank you.August 25, 2015 at 5:46 am #368655

ChristianModeratorHey there,
Revolution Slider 5 is a major update so it does have some “breaking changes”. Please try to reedit your sliders and save again. If it doesn’t help, please disable third party plugins and give us the URL of the page where you’ve setup the sliders.
Thanks.

tbingelParticipantHello,
here’s what happened;
I have updated WP, VC and CS in proper order when they became available and I was prompted. Then went to bed. Yesterday I woke up and went on to resume my work on the pages and found out the URL http://www.houseofgusto.com/anasayfa was corrupted.
Now, I have disabled all the third party plugins as you have suggested with no resolution to the problem. Then I have created a blank test page to construct a copy of the page from scratch and ended up with the same result.
Here is how the page was displaying prior to the update:

The only explanation remaining is that there is a “breaking change” and damaged my original slide designs and consequently my main page.
Is there a way to revert to the previous version of the Revolution Slider? Or, do I have to redo all of my slides?
Please advise.
All the best.PS: You have my login credentials in my previous post.

Paul RModeratorHi,
I am sorry but we don’t recommended reverting to previous versions as this updates is in connection with wordpress update.
Try to update your slider layout as your issue has to do with revslider overflowing with it’s parent container

Thanks

tbingelParticipantI have been working to fix those sliders since early this morning and believe me this is way beyond an overflow issue.
Text sizes, alignments, navigation, responsive behavior settings and performance options were all off.
I have decided not to update anything before and after this site launches.
Thanks.August 26, 2015 at 6:57 am #369899
tbingelParticipantPre WP, RS, CS update version of the Anasayfa page was rendering perfectly on all sorts of screens across the OS/device scala.
Now I cannot seem to find a proper responsive balance to achieve that, no matter what I try.
I am truly very frustrated.
Would it help if I try and build some test slides from scratch with the ver.5 RS engine?
Please advise.
Thanks.PS: I have followed the instructions featured on the ThemePunch’s related pages, but could not get a satisfactory result across my desktop(2560×1440), tablet(1920×1200) and mobile(1280×720) screens.

tbingelParticipantHi,
I have followed your advice and read the thread above in detail.
My case is the third one which deals with the formatting issues.
Here were my steps;
1. I have opened and re-saved the existing and overflowing sliders. This fixed the overflow issue, but not the formatting.
2. I have tried and experimented with all available tools such as text size, alignment, line spacing and layout grid sizes for different devices/resolutions.
3. The results were always inconsistent despite my efforts. The text is frequently wrapped into two lines even though there is plenty of space to span.
4. I occasionally get the slide to look OK on an android tablet with the resolution of 1920×1200 in horizontal viewing but it is all corrupted on vertical orientation etc.
This looks like it would take a week to get just my main page right with constant fiddling.
Could you please take a look at the situation with the given URL address and login credentials above for me?
I appreciate your heavy load and sense the environment you are enduring to provide support across the globe, but I feel desperate at this point myself, too.
All the best.August 27, 2015 at 3:18 am #371044
Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Due to the major changes in Revolution slider, you have to edit each of your slider. You have to make sure that they have the same settings since they will be display in columns. Upon checking like your slider Cons_audio_tr and Cons_video_tr, they have different layout settings. Please see the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/89ej74. The gird sizes are different and rendering this will result to a different grid sizes also.
Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

tbingelParticipantHi again,
I was trying on different settings to see what would be the working formula.
That’s why they are different. This is temporary.
I was working on the Cons_audio_tr like crazy to come up with a solution 🙂
You see, one particular layout grid settings work for one resolution just fine and terrible for the other devices.
That’s what driving me crazy.
If only I’d come up with the formula then I’d apply to them all.
This is where I was seeking for your pro level advice actually 🙂
All the best to Cheyenne 🙂PS: Could you suggest some common layout dimensions as per your experience for instance?

John EzraMemberHi there,
Thanks for updating the thread! If you need to then you would have to delete it and install a previous copy. If you have a previous copy of X, the RS plugin is in the previous download.
It’s found in this folder: /wp-content/themes/x/framework/plugins
Again, we highly discourage this. Thanks for understanding.
