conorseedParticipantHey guys 🙂 Hope you’re having an amazing day!
I’ve come back to my site to make changes and for some strange reason cornerstone will no longer edit a page – in fact it doesn’t even see it anymore… When I click “Edit” on the page it brings up the “Text” tab instead of “Cornerstone”, which suggests to me it’s somehow been edited as text.
The problem is that I’m the only one with access to the site and I know for a fact I haven’t edited the page as text…
From what I can see the only way to get the page back to cornerstone is to completely re-create the page. Is that correct? There’s no way of exporting the shortcode to a Cornerstone template?
Thanks heaps for your time!!!

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! I’m afraid that the serialise data cornerstone needs to read your page is already lose, have you update something (perhaps on server side) before this issue occur?
In the meantime please do a testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers!

conorseedParticipantHey Friech, Thanks for your response.
That’s what I was afraid of :(.. Nothing changed server side that I’m aware of. The only thing I can think of was that I installed WP Give plugin, and there was an issue on install. But they fixed the bug, and I installed the new version…
Anyway, I did plugin conflict testing – I deactivated all plugins, but it didn’t solve the issue.
Fortunately I have a fairly recent backup of the site that I pulled up and saved the page as a cornerstone template. I guess I’ll just have to use that, but at least it’s not from scratch.
Sorry I can’t be much more help to you, but it was more than probably user error anyway haha. Having said that, it would be awesome to be able to convert shortcode to cornerstone layout in case things like this do happen…
Thanks for your time!!
