Hi,

First of all great theme!

X-version: X-Child Theme
Cornerstone plugin version: 1.2.4
This past week I have had issues with one of my installs. When I tried to update the cornerstone plugin I received a message that “An error occurred while updating Cornerstone: X is not validated. Validate X to enable automatic updates.”

When I click the link to “Validate X to enable automatic updates”, I get a Congratulations message, and am informed that X is installed.

Cornerstone has been acting funky lately, so I’m hoping an update will help.

Please let me know any feedback to help fix this issue. I’ve try applying what I have found from other support requests with no luck.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! You should be able to update Cornerstone if you have X license validated.
Please do the following:
1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation.
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license. https://community.theme.co/my-account/
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again.

If still doesn’t work, please update Cornerstone manually by uploading it to ftp. Please check our our knowledge base to know how: https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/

Hi Joao,

Sorry for the delay. I was finally able to update the cornerstone plugin by manually placing it to ftp.

So far with the updated Cornerstone I am having the same issues as the older version of Cornerstone. Basic Cornerstone functionality is no longer working. The main problem is with the layout of Cornerstone items. Things that were perviously centered on the site are no longer centered. When I try to edit items through Cornerstone, the columns say everything is centered (but they do not show up this way on the front-end or the back-end).

Any suggestions to fix this? I was hoping the update would have been the solution.

Hi Becca,

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentials

Hi There,

Please update X to the latest version and than trying updating Cornerstone.

You currently have X 4.22 and Cornerstone 1.30 came after that.

Let us know how it goes.
