    Hi,
As in the title this is not happening. I have deleted and reinstalled Cornerstone, deactivated plugins, cleared cache, created a new Shop page all to no use.

The interface never loaded and just went to the homepage. Other pages worked but not the Shop.

So now I am editing using the Home page instead of Shop page.

Can you tell me what went wrong?

    Hi there,

The Shop page is an archive page, and archive pages aren’t editable through cornerstone. Archive pages are meant to be item’s index page, like displaying the list of the items.

You can only use Cornerstone on standard page, post, portfolio, product, and all other post types.

    Thanks!

    Hi,
Is there anyway to unarchive it so it works? I have created another .com/shopfront page to edit on.

Will that work just as well if it’s retreavable in terms of menu/site structure, parent category and breadcrumbs as it was a main page?

How can I assign a new page such as the above the main page status?

    Please reply soonest.

    Hi there,

There is no way to unarchive an archive page. But you can override the template of those page since archive pages use a PHP file to display the content of the page, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!

    HI,
Will the shopfront page work just as well in terms of menu/site structure, parent category and breadcrumbs as it was a main page?

How can I assign the shopfront new page with a main page status?

How do I include shopfront in my URL structure as .com/shopfront/mens/….

How do I save the Cornerstone page and where can I retrieve it. I have saved a page in Cornerstone but I’m concerned if I close the tab like last time the edit disappears.

    Thank you.

Just what I was concerned about happened. Saved Cornerstone but did an edit and it didn’t save.

Also instead of shopfront I will use a new page called store. So will it do all the things above in the previous message?

    Thank you.

    Hello There,

Thanks for updating in! Just for future topics, self responding or bumping your post pushes it back in our Queue system so it takes longer to respond to.

You can make the shop as your homepage. To do that, simply go to Settings > Reading > Front page displays and assign the Shop page as your front page.

If you are not sure if Cornerstone will save your changes or not, you can download your current changes as Cornerstone page template. Once your done editing, go to Layout tab > Templates and then Save it. You’ll need to download it to your computer so that you can re use it after by importing the template.
