BradenParticipantI am having a problem with cornerstone. I restored a previous version of my page and now it is on Text view. When I go to edit the page in cornerstone it removes all the content. If I leave the cornerstone code in text the website displays everything perfectly. I just cant edit it with cornerstone. Is there a solution for this?

JoaoModeratorHi There,
The home page was restored to a version that was created with the previous version of Cornerstone in which Revisions still did not work.
If your hosting has a backup you can restore this backup to a previous moment to this change or since your home page is very similar to the agency demo page I would recommend you recreating it, it should not be much work since you have already the layout idea organized, create another page to keep the page that you have as a reference and when it is finished assigned as your demo page.
I am uploading attached the demo agency templates, you can insert the home page as a Cornerstone template on your new page.
To do that, create a new page, access Cornerstone, click templates Add template > upload it.
Hope that helps

BradenParticipantThanks. I should have clarified that the reason I restored the page was because it *broke* in the first place. The page just randomly quit working in cornerstone and I restored a backup of it that was 14 hours old. So unless you are able to push out cornerstone updates without user interaction then everything was within the current release version.
As far as the template goes, is there a way, or do you plan to add the ability to export cornerstone code? So we could do a backup on the page or use templates across pages or sites. I know we can grab the code in text view, is that sufficient?

BradenParticipantGuess I could click the button that says “Save” 🙂

FriechModeratorHi There,
Cornerstone does not support the “Revision” feature of WP, doing so will consider editing the page outside of Cornerstone and cause for losing the serialise data on database that Cornerstone needed for that specific page.
Yes, you can save your page as a Cornerstone template (.csl), and keep it as a backup or for importing it to another site.
Hope it helps, Cheers!
