Hello,

I have the latest WP, x theme and cornerstone versions installed.

While editing the content of a page in cornerstone, I regularly save changes and get confirmation that the changes are saved. The changes are also applied. So no problem there.

If, however, I leave the page I’m editing without saving the very last change made – because I don’t want that changed to be applied, for example – all previous saved changes are undone, including custom CSS content changes confirmed as saved. This results in a complete loss of editing work. The issue can be reproduced.

What is going on? Why does not saving the very last change made to a page in my cornerstone result in the complete loss of saved changes – and not just the last unsaved change – when the page is left?

Thanks, but I’m not really sure what you mean by leaving it without saving. If you leave it without saving, it will not really save your page. Would you mind providing a video recording showing this issue?

Hey there,

The fact that this is happening only to the home page might have something to do with some restrictions in your setup. Would you mind removing all customization and revert to the default WordPress htaccess setup.

Are you talking about removing the homepage’s custom CSS in cornerstone? Because I tried removing that and resaving. But the changes did not get saved, and that’s the problem. If you are talking about the removal of different customization elements, please specify.

Please also note that I was able to edit and save the homepage in cornerstone up until recently.

I am talking about all customizations like template modification, third party scripts, etc.. But before that, please try duplicating your page then, in the duplicate page, try removing elements and saving the page each time you that. There’s a current bug in Cornerstone lately that it doesn’t accept non-unicode characters.

Christian, this is what I did and what happened:

I duplicated the homepage as you said, along with the page CSS. So far, I can edit the new duplicated page and save edits without any errors.

With respect to the original homepage that does not save any more changes, there is a “Fatal error: Allowed memory size exhausted…” message shown when trying to access the page through the WP dashboard.

I guess I can now just delete the original homepage and stick to the duplicate that was created without knowing what the exact problem was.

However, do you have any ideas on why the one page gets a fatal error message, while the other page is fine – although both pages have exactly the same content?

Perhaps the only non-ordinary element I’m using is a raw content box with SVG code.

Have you tried adding this in your wp-config.php?
