    Hello,
    I followed the instructions in #790242 to place copyright information with current year in my footer, but it does not display. My page is: http://uniquegiftsandart.com. Please see the attachment of the footer.
    What am I missing?

    Hi There,

    Thanks for posting in. The copyright text is there. It’s font color is opaque white and it is not much visible relative to your site background. Please add this custom CSS on Appearance > Customize > Custom > Edit Global CSS

    .x-colophon.bottom .x-colophon-content {
    color: red; /*Change to your preferred font color.*/
}

    Related question, how can I
    1. Remove, or
    2. change the height
    of the (dark) footer band – please see the attachment.

    I assume I should keep it for social icons, etc.?

    Hi there,

    It seems you have enabled “Footer Widget Areas” but you have no widget there and that’s why this blank section. If you don’t need that, you can disable Footer Widget Areas from Customzie > Footer – http://prntscr.com/ctevkn
