srmaximoParticipantHello,
We’re running the latest version 2.3.1 of ConvertPlug along with the latest versions of X Theme and Cornerstone and we can’t get the modal popup display on the mobile version of X Theme. It fires and displays as expected on desktop.
WordPress and all plugins are updated to the latest versions and I’ve tried disabling all plugins.
Here’s the text url: http://www.heartwoodguitar.com/convertkit-test-page/
Thanks!

LelyModeratorHello Rob,
Thanks for posting in. Can you check the settings of your modal if it’s not set to be hidden on mobile? See attached screenshot.

srmaximoParticipantHi Lely,
Thank you for the reply. We do not have the hide mobile option selected. Please see attached.

RadModeratorHi there,
Would you mind providing some information on how I can get into this form? I can’t find it from any of your ConvertPlug listing. It’s ConvertKit, but all your form doesn’t even use it. I’m not sure if I’m looking on the right place.
Thanks!

srmaximoParticipantHello,
Sorry for the confusion, my developer was helping me with this problem, but I had done a poor job of explaining it to him before he contacted you.
The problem I’m having is NOT with ConvertPlug–it is with a different product, ConvertKit (the similar names caused the confusion with my developer). I am trying to trigger a modal popup when users click on a button. This works fine on desktop, but on mobile, the screen scrolls up a few pixels, and no modal pops up.
ConvertKit support has looked at the issue, and suspects that some other javascript is interfering with the javascript used to generate the modal. Here’s their latest info:
Unfortunately, I’m having trouble tracking this one down. From what I can tell, though, one of the plugins on your site is doing some Javascript wizardry. My hypothesis is that a plugin is seeing
<a href="#ck_modal">and trying to scroll to the element with that ID, blocking the normal ConvertKit behavior on that element.Do you have a plugin that scrolls to different parts of the page? Maybe one that handles navigation for a long, scrollable page? I think our next step is to look there.
And here’s the URL for the test page again. I have both a button and a text-based link for testing purposes. Both should generate the modal.
Here’s the code that generates the links:
<div class="x-prompt-section x-prompt-section-button">[x_button type="flat" shape="square" size="regular" circle="true" block="true" title="Example" href="#ck_modal" rel="ck_modal"]Button Test[/x_button]</div> <a href="#ck_modal" rel="ck_modal">Text-based link test</a> <script id="_ck_70784" src="https://forms.convertkit.com/70784?v=6" async=""></script>Thanks for your help,
Rob

Rue NelModeratorHey Rob,
I am another staff checking on the thread! I have checked the test page and it seems both the button and the text link open up the modal popup when clicked. Here it is: http://prntscr.com/bywnz1
Can you confirm that the issue has been resolve?
Thank you.

srmaximoParticipantHi Rue,
The problem is not resolved. The modal has always worked on desktop–the problem is that its not displaying on mobile.
Thanks.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating in! It sounds like you might be having an issue with a third party plugin, ConvertKit. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
Thank you for your understanding.
