    Hi there,

    I’m trying to activate the Convert Plugin but I keep getting this error message:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /home3/monchicc/public_html/wp-content/plugins/convertplug/framework/Smile_Framework.php on line 75

    Wordpress version 4.5.2
    X version 4.4.2

    Can anyone help me resolve this please? Many thanks!

    Hi there,

    Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

    Hi there,

    Please connect to FTP and delete convertplug folder from wp-content/plugins, next navigate to X addons page and install it again.

    If it doesn’t solve the issue, please provide us with URL, login and FTP credentials in private replay.

    Hi There,

    I am not able to login. It says invalid username.
    But before we continue, please check in with your hosting provider and ask them about your PHP version. It should be greater or equal to 5.4 first. That’s common issue with the older version that uses double color ( :: ) for accessing static object.

    Hi Jay.

    I tried to login on your WP-Admin panel without success with the provided credentials

    And I had the same problem with the FTP.

    As Lely mentioned it before you problem is happening because you are running a lower version of PHP that it is recommended.

    You could ask Blue Host if it is possible to update your PHP version to a greater version.

    In the meanwhile we can try to install it manually and try check if we can help you with the issue independently of your PHP version.

    Please recheck if the credentials are correct so we can have a look.

    Also please let us know what Blue Host answers you regarding the PHP upgrade.
