This is no longer putting the center column in the middle like it used to so that the button would center within a nav item. What is the update needed for it to set the columns correctly even if there is no content in the two outside columns?

    [column type="one-fourth"][/column] [column type="one-half"][button shape="pill" size="mini" float="none" icon_only="true" href="http://www.myurl.com/" target="blank"]My Button[/button][/column][column type="one-fourth"][/column]

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

I provided the shortcode. I want two blank 1/4 columns on the outside and a button in the center 1/2 column. I have been using this shortcode for a while and all of a sudden the columns on the outside won’t accept being blank so now it isn’t working correctly anymore.

    Hi there,

Your column shortcode is correct but since some of the columns are empty, you won’t see the result properly. Let’s try this with some dummy text inside the empty column :

    [column type="one-fourth"]One fourth column[/column] [column type="one-half"][button shape="pill" size="mini" float="none" icon_only="true" href="http://www.myurl.com/" target="blank"]My Button[/button][/column][column type="one-fourth"]Another one fourth column[/column]

    Hope this makes sense.

Yes, I am aware of that fact. If I add text, it will work. My point is that it had been working without text and recently changed. So I am looking for how to make the columns work again if I don’t have text in the 1/4 columns.

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing back. Empty column doesn’t supposed to occupy the space when you are using shortcode. But if you use Cornerstone then it’s possible.

    Cheers!

I am using Cornerstone… I am trying to nest it on a tab element.

    Hi there,

Thanks for clarifying. There is no way to show the column area if you are nesting the column within any element. So what you are getting is pretty expected.

    Hope this makes sense.
