armintzParticipantI’ve installed the ‘church’ expanded demo on the same server before without issue so it’s unlikely my php/memory limits.
I’m having no issues importing the Agency, Restaurant and Spa demos.. it’s just the Church demo that fails. Are you guys having server issues? I noticed issues with your site not loading earlier so maybe it’s related.
Already have Cornerstone activated.
Error goes from “Working on it…” to “Hang in there, trying to reconnect”… to “Experiencing technical difficulties”… to “We’re sorry the demo failed”
Thanks

armintzParticipantjust tried it in a newly created subdomain with a fresh WP install and it uploaded fine…
which doesn’t really make sense to me and i would still like to find the culprit to avoid another future headache.
March 29, 2016 at 10:31 pm #857976
armintzParticipantI found the culprit on accident.
After I imported the church demo I noticed the slider was missing. Realizing I forgot to activate the Revslider before the install, I tried to import the Church demo again, this time with the Revslider activated… the demo was once again throwing the error “We’re sorry the demo failed.”
When I deactivate Revslider, the Church demo uploads fine.
I’ve made no changes to the Rev slider settings, or added any slides, etc.
This is a fresh install. Why is this happening? None of your other Expanded demos are suffering from this issue, which makes it even more baffling to me. I’ll send a private reply with my login in case it helps figure this out.

LelyModeratorHi There,
Thank you for the credentials. Please note that Revolution Slider supported version of the theme is V5.1.6. Please downgrade to this version. Then make sure Revolution Slider is active upon downloading the Church expanded demo content again. Do let us know how this goes.
Always,

armintzParticipantI activated the Rev Slider in the WP admin by going to Addons > Extensions – shouldn’t this automatically create the correct version that’s compatible with X, or am I misunderstanding how the Extensions work?
I’ll check the theme folder and install that version of the slider with FTP… will report back on my results.
Thank you

armintzParticipantSame issue persists with Revslider version 5.1.6… even after a fresh WP core install + fresh theme install.
Again, no issues with any of the other expanded demos, it’s only the Church demo that won’t upload when RevSlider is activated.
I’d love to know why this isn’t working, but I need to move on – can you simply send me a zip of the Church demo slider so I can import it manually?
Thanks

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please update both X and cornerstone to latest version.
There is a way to purge this cache and allow the importer to run fresh again. Just add
&clean-cacheto your URL. For example:http://example.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=x-addons-demo-content&clean-cacheThen try to import demo content again.
Hope it helps.

armintzParticipantUpdating to today’s maintenance update has not resolved this issue. Same with updating cornerstone. Same when adding &clean-cache to the URL.
Same deal all around – deactivating Revslider and the expanded demo import goes through fine. With RevSlider activated the Church demo will not upload.
Can you please send me the zip of the slider so I can move on while the bug is sorted? Thank you

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. You can download a slider from here to get started – http://revolution.themepunch.com/free-slider-exchange/
There are lot of sliders of different styles and functionality.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!

armintzParticipantI’m looking for the zip from the Church theme demo – that’s why I am using the expanded demo, so that I have that particular content.

ThomoJames97ParticipantHi,
I’m having the same issue, and I’ve noticed a few others on this forums are as well. I’m starting to wonder if this is an issue from Themeco’s end, rather than within WordPress??? If so, is there a way to manually import the demo content for the Church theme?
April 9, 2016 at 4:15 am #873933
RadModeratorHi ThomoJames,
I imported the same demo without any issues on my installation. It could be related to connectivity between your host and our server. Would you mind providing your site’s URL and admin login credentials in private reply? I like to check where it fails. And if possible, allow me to overwrite your site’s content by testing the import.
There is no available files for manual import, none yet.
Thanks!
