    Hi

    For some reason that I can’t work out, the child theme is distorting the website. When I disable the child theme, and activate the full X theme, the site appears normal.

    What is the solution? Do I need to reinstall the child theme? Does this need to be done regularly?

    You need to perform a Child Theme update.
